We’re having an art contest! And this special mixed media focused Makers Club is the perfect place to prepare your submission! The Wild About Reading Mixed Media Art Contest is a great way for you to get creative and go wild with all kinds of materials, show off your work in our library mixed media exhibit, and have a chance to win a prize! Mixed media = a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials (ie : collage) and we will have all kinds of materials available to you at this month's club along with examples and guidelines.
Please feel free to join us at the makers club even if you don't want to submit to the art contest.
Meet up with fellow makers for an open craft night at MPL Makers Club! :
The 2nd Floor Programming Room will be open to come together & work on any of your crafty endeavors on the 3rd Thursday of every month. These are self-guided craft nights with lots of supplies provided and laptops available to log into our wonderful online resource, "creativebug" if participants want to learn a new skill or try a new project!
Bring your friends! Bring your materials! Bring whatever you're working on!
Please note:
Any person with disabilities who wishes to attend an event and requires a special accommodation should notify the Moline Public Library (see Contact Info on this page). Please contact the Library at least 24 hours in advance.
