Moline Cemetery Sexton Todd Slater will be our guide to the history of Moline, told through the monuments and markers of the cemetery. Tour features will include the history of the cemetery, designed by Chicago architect William Le Baron Jenney, also known as the "father of the skyscraper," the story of Francis Jeffrey Dickens, Deere and Velie family memorial sites, and Stephen's Mausoleum.
Wear your walking shoes and bring a bottle of water. Tour is estimated to last up to an hour, with a question and answer session following.
Registration with the library is required. Space is limited.
