Program Description

Body

Level Up at the Library by showing off your pixel art skills, using physical art supplies to create a digital 8-bit look. Teens and Tweens going into grades 6-12 and Adults can participate in the Adult and Teen Pixel Art Contest. Children ages 4-12 can participate in the Children's Pixel Art Contest - more information can be found here

Rules:

  • One entry per person.
  • Pieces must be physical artwork - no digital submissions.
  • Pieces should be flat and measure no more than 12” x 12”.  Canvas is allowed, but no artwork can be deeper than 1”.
  • All subject matter must be suitable for public display.
  • Be sure to include your name, Division you are entering (Teen or Adult), and contact information.
  • Submissions accepted Saturday, May 31 - Saturday, June 28.
  • Turn in your piece at the 2nd Floor Information Desk.
  • Entries must be picked up by end of the day on Saturday, August 9. 

Winners will be determined by popular vote. Artwork will be on display for voting in the lobby Tuesday, July 1 through Saturday, July 12. Online voting will also be available during this time at bit.ly/pixelvoting.

Winners will be announced Wednesday, July 17 on the library social media channels and on the Moline Library Teens blog at molinelibraryteens.wordpress.com.

Prizes will be awarded for first place in the Teen Division (going into grades 6-12) and Adult Division (18+).
