Are You Yeti to Create?! Teens and Tweens in grades 6-12 and Adults are invited to show off their art skills and imagination by creating a cryptid for this year's Teen & Adult Cryptid Creations Art Contest! Will you create your own Loch Ness Monster? Bigfoot? Yeti? Or something mysterious and completely out of your own imagination!?
Rules:
- One entry per person.
- Pieces must be physical artwork - no digital submissions.
- All traditional art media will be accepted (photography, sculpture, drawing, painting, etc.) 2D pieces should measure no more than 12” x 12”. Canvas is allowed, but no artwork can be deeper than 1”.
- All subject matter must be suitable for public display.
- Be sure to include your name, Division you are entering (Teen or Adult), and contact information with your submission.
- Submissions accepted Sunday, February 1 - Saturday, February 21.
- Turn in your piece at the 2nd Floor Information Desk.
- Entries must be picked up by end of the day on Saturday, March 14.
Winners will be determined by popular vote. Artwork will be on display for voting in the lobby Tuesday, February 24 through Saturday, March 7. Online voting will also be available during this time.
Winners will be announced on the library social media channels and on the Moline Library Teens blog at molinelibraryteens.wordpress.com.
Prizes will be awarded for first place in the Teen Division (grades 6-12) and Adult Division (18+).
