Program Description

Body

We warmly invite you to join us for part one of our three-part series; “Tenant Know Your Rights- “Rights and Responsibilities”. This first session will be dedicated to educating tenants from Illinois and Iowa about their landlord and tenant rights and responsibilities, understanding the definition of a lease, recognizing what constitutes retaliation, and learning how to report it.

Our primary goal for creating this series is to dispel the misinformation that often surrounds tenants' rights and empower individuals to advocate for themselves.

As Barack Obama wisely said, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

**Registration preferred**

Please register for the event using the link below, to let us know whether you will be attending in person or virtually. A link for the live stream will be sent closer to the date of the event for individuals who are attending virtually.
