Join us for a storytime especially for children and families who are looking for a smaller, more adaptive library experience. Sensitive Storytime is ideal for young children with sensory processing sensitivity or on the autism spectrum, although everyone is welcome to attend! Books will be at approximately a preschool level.
Prior to storytime we will email registrants the list of books, songs, and rhymes we will be using so parents and caregivers can prepare their child for storytime. You can also check out our social story What to Expect at Storytime before your first visit to the library. Fidgets, noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, and other sensory objects will be available during storytime for those who wish.
Registration is required. Please register only your child and add how many other people will be attending in the notes field. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If there is anything in particular you would like us to know about your child beforehand, feel free to add it to the special notes section.
