The Rooting Out Poverty book discussion series, in partnership with Project Now, will feature titles focused on housing, economics, education, healthcare and justice. This session is the second of a six part monthly Rooting Out Poverty book discussion. This month's guest facilitator is Dr. Kristi Law, Associate Professor of Social Work at St. Ambrose University.
This month's selection is Automating Inequality: how high tech tools profile, police and punish the poor by Virginia Eubanks. Copies of the book are available at local Illinois libraries via PrairieCat and an e-book copy is available via OverDrive's Libby app.
