Program Description

Body

Follow along with the instructor and create a 3D toy model from separate interlocking parts! We will be using the free, web-based software, Tinkercad. Participants will receive a voucher for a free use of the library's 3D printer service so that they can make their creations a reality (printing will not be done at the time of program). Students will need an email address to create an account with Tinkercad.

This will be the first of two sessions in March (Wed, March 15 and Wed, March 29). Each session is separate and will focus on a different aspect of 3D modeling/printing. Participation in both sessions is not required and registration for each program should be done separately.

This program is part of the Project Next Generation grant and is open to students ages 10 to 18. Space is limited and registration is required for this event.

Funding for Project Next Generation is provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
