Program Description

Body

This workshop will introduce kids to the basics of 3D design using the free, web-based app Tinkercad. Once they have learned some of the basics, participants will have an opportunity to create their own designs and have them printed on the library's 3D printer! Please note that they won't be able to take home their print right away - 3D printing can take a long time.

Participants will need an email address to create a free Tinkercad account.

Registration is required as space is limited.

This program is part the Project Next Generation grant. Please fill out the PNG Information sheet at bit.ly/PNG22information. This only needs to be done once per student per school year.

Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
