Program Description

Body

Learn how to use the free, web-based software, Tinkercad. After guided instructions and completing a tutorial, students will have the opportunity to create their own 3D models and receive a voucher for a free use of the library's 3D printer service so that they can make their creations a reality (printing will not be done at the time of program). Students will need an email address to create an account with Tinkercad.

This will be the second of four sessions (Wed, Feb 15; Mon, Feb 27; Wed, March 15; and Wed, March 29). Each session is separate and will focus on a different aspect 3D modeling/printing. Participation in all sessions is not required and registration for each program should be done separately.

This program is part of the Project Next Generation grant and is open to students ages 10 to 18. Space is limited and registration is required for this event.

Funding for Project Next Generation is provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
