Please join the Moline Public Library and the Moline Preservation Society in welcoming Neil Dahlstrom as he shares an overview of his book Tractor Wars, highlighting the research, writing, and publishing process, and the book's evolution into a PBS documentary.
Neil Dahlstrom is the Archivist and Heritage Marketing Manager at John Deere where he oversees the archives, library, and museums. He is the author of three books, and has appeared on the History Channel, National Geographic, PBS, and more. His latest book, Tractor Wars: John Deere, Henry Ford, International Harvester and the Birth of Modern Agriculture, was published in 2022. It was an Amazon Bestseller, and won the American Bookfest award for Best History and the Henry Ford Heritage Association Book of the Year. Tractor Wars, a documentary based on the book, debuted in 2024.
The Moline Preservation Society will also be honoring the successes of the Moline High School's History Club.
